Holland Publishing PLC is one of the UK’s leading independent publishers of children’s books, creating innovative, striking books for our generic range and as own-label products for major retailers and distributors.
Through our Little Star Creations imprint we are expanding rapidly expanding into licensed character products across publishing and stationery products as well as children’s headphones and audio accessories. Current licenses include Peppa Pig, Ben10, Spongebob Squarepants, Guess with Jess, Where’s Wally, Timmy Time and Liverpool FC.
After being made redundant at AGI Media, I applied and found my next role in a small Children’s Publishing Company called Holland Publishing. They employed me as a Production Co-ordinator. This entailed creating/designing/artworking material and over seeing other arworkers and making sure the production went through smoothly and the deadlines were met. While I was there I was working directly with the Editor, Production Manager and Company Director. The work involved designing from style sheets, artworking adults puzzle and childrens reading, puzzle & sticker books. All educational material and other material including catalogues and licencee products like headphones & height charts. Little Star was also a FSC based company so all FSC rules and regulations had to be taken into account.
